About Us
Our story, our values, and the people behind Old Park Organics
Our Story
Our journey toward a more regenerative approach began around 2015 as we prepared to leave the dairy industry after several decades of milk production. We needed a change, and we felt the land did too. We also thought that we needed to change the way we sold our produce by selling directly to the public, not through processors or supermarkets.
As we began the natural progression of weaning our converted beef herd off bought-in concentrates (grain & cereal), we became members of the Pasture For Life association. This felt like a logical step, and we started learning about mob-grazing and un-learning years of conventional farming systems.
In 2019 we began the conversion to full organic status and started selling beef boxes to our local community. As demand grew, we created our own butchery unit to give us complete control over our product, which ultimately led to the opening of our farm shop.
Our mission is simple: to produce the most nutritious, ethically raised beef possible while demonstrating that farming can heal rather than harm our planet.

Our Farm
Our farm has historically been managed in a way that nurtures wildlife, with abundant hedgerows, old oak trees, ancient ridge and furrow meadows, and pockets of woodland creating a rich and diverse landscape. Our regenerative farming methods will only deepen this biodiversity, continuing to enhance the land as a testament to the livestock farmers who cared for it before us:
- •Diverse pastures with increasingly numerous species of grasses, legumes, and herbs
- •16 kilometres of old and new hedgerows providing wildlife corridors and windbreaks
- •5 acres of woodland, perfect for raising outdoor pigs, slowly converting to silvopasture for grazing animals
- •Holistically managed mob grazing to increase biodiversity, increasing the numbers of bats, moths and pollinators

Our Values
Respect for Nature
We believe in working with natural systems rather than against them. Our farming practices are designed to enhance the environment, not deplete it. We see ourselves as stewards of the land, responsible for leaving it better than we found it.
Animal Welfare
We're committed to giving our animals the best possible life. This means allowing them to express their natural behaviors, eat their natural diet, and live with minimal stress. We believe that respect for our animals translates to better quality beef and a clearer conscience.
Transparency
We believe consumers have a right to know exactly how their food is produced. We maintain open communication about our practices and welcome visitors to the farm to see firsthand how we raise our cattle and manage our land.
Community
We're proud to be part of a growing movement of farmers, consumers, and advocates working toward a more sustainable food system. We actively share knowledge with other farmers and engage with our local community through farm tours, workshops, and educational events.
